Economic recovery started in 2015 and a new regulatory framework with the Spanish government's announcement of new energy auctions starting in 2017 clearly marks a shift towards a favourable trend for stable investment in renewable energy in Spain.
The increase in renewable power installed in the coming years will allow Spain to reach the targets set by the European Directive 2009/28 /CE so that at least 20% of gross final consumption of energy in Spain comes from renewable sources in 2020.
